Alma Martinez has over 16 years of experience in holistic academic advising and student advocacy in both academic and student affairs. Alma joined UC Davis in 2003 serving as the academic counselor in the Department of Chicana/o Studies and as the Coordinator, Chicana/o & Latina/o Student Affairs. Alma has a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in Development Studies and an M.A. in Leadership in Social Justice. Alma is from the Bay Area and enjoys sports, music, dancing, and singing although she claims can barely carry a note. 

Alma officially joined the AB540 & Undocumented Student Center on March 1st, 2019 as the Interim Director for a six-month appointment.
